Why See Jean Michel Jarre?
First Ever North American Tour
Despite being a giant of electronic music, and a renowned performer and musical innovator for over 40 years, Frenchman Jean Michel Jarre has never toured the US before. That's all set to change in 2017, when he brings his visually stunning show to these shores for the North American leg of his 'Electronica' tour.
Jean Michel Jarre became fascinated with the possibilities of electronic music in the late 1960s, After being introduced to the Moog Synthesiser he looked back, and released his first proper album, the now-iconic Oxygene, in 1976. Since then he's amassed a huge back catalogue of groundbreaking material, including his latest, Oxygene 3, which was released last year. Aside from his music, Jarre is also famous for his live shows, which combine cutting edge light and lazer displays, and have time and again broken the record for the largest concert audiences of all time. These US dates have been too long coming, and you can finally catch Jean Michel when he plays Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston, MA, Closed May 16, 2017.
