Other Broadway Venues in Boston

This beautiful opera house started life in 1928 as the B.F. Keith Memorial Theatre where it played movies and was also one of the best examples of a vaudeville palace on the circuit. From 1929 it operated solely as a movie palace until 1980, when it was acquired as a home for the Opera Company of Boston. Today it plays host to a variety of entertainment from opera and ballet, as well as staging the many Broadway productions that tour the country, making it one of the most successful venues in the city.

Pippin

Until February 14, 2016

A young prince sets out on a journey to find the ultimate meaning of life in the vaudevillian spectacular of Pippin, from Godspell creator Stephen Schwartz. Told by a roving cast of an anachronistic acting troupe, the musical first wowed audiences in 1972, seducing them with the astonishing musical fable, set to a rousing 1970's rock score, including the hits 'Magic to Do' and 'I Guess I'll Miss the Man.'

The Sound of Music

March 29-April 10, 2016

Rodgers and Hammerstein's iconic musical about the Maria and the Von Trapp family is set for a 2015/16 North American tour. This new production is being helmed by Jack O'Brien, who has promised to wipe away the "varnish" and dig down into the real drama that lies at the heart of the story. Featuring one of the great scores of all time, The Sound of Music is set to be the unmissable family show of the year.

Matilda - The Musical

June 14-26, 2016

Matilda is a story about dreaming big, even though you may just be little. This hit musical is based on Roald Dahl's much-loved book of the same name, which tells the tale of an extraordinary child with hideous parents and an even more horrible headmistress. The production is given the musical treatment by the combined talents of Tim Minchin and the Royal Shakespeare Company - a winning combination earning it four awards at the 2013 Tonys!

If/Then

July 5-17, 2016

A new musical about the different paths our life can take, If/Then embarks on its first national tour. Written by the Pulitzer Prize winning duo of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, the show launched on Broadway in 2014, and garnered two Tony nominations.
