The North American company premiere of William Forsythe's avant-garde ballet opens at Boston Ballet for a limited time from this February. Hailed by the press and audiences alike, Artifact combines physically demanding choreography with artistic projections and sets as well as spoken words. This new work marks the beginning of a five-year collaboration between the renowned choreographer and the Ballet. With experimental ensemble sections of 30 dancers, followed by smaller groups, and pas de deux, this revised show also features a brand-new all-men's dance at the end.

This beautiful opera house started life in 1928 as the B.F. Keith Memorial Theatre where it played movies and was also one of the best examples of a vaudeville palace on the circuit. From 1929 it operated solely as a movie palace until 1980, when it was acquired as a home for the Opera Company of Boston. Today it plays host to a variety of entertainment from opera and ballet, as well as staging the many Broadway productions that tour the country, making it one of the most successful venues in the city.
