Food, acrobatics and taste? They've done it again!
They say that the best food in the world comes from France - but what happens when you combine that with dance?! Montreal-based cirque troupe 7 Doigts (Seven Fingers) have wowed the world over with their slick, humorous and performance-focused shows, and this latest addition to their repertoire is sure to be just as popular. Choreography meets the culinary as the troupe welcome you into the kitchen that will indeed immerse all your senses (yes, even smell!).
Food is so much more than plain sustenance. It forms some of our earliest memories, relationships and family stories. Cuisine and Confessions takes this concept to an acrobatic new level, as the seven cast members recreate stories in the stage-based kitchen, whilst cooking real meals and offering them up to the audience! Combining circus, avant-garde dance, theatre, and cooking show comedy, these guys yet again tap into our own personal narratives, showing exactly why they are one of the most innovative circus troupes on the circuit.
Formed in 2002, 7 Doigts have taken the world by storm with their shows Traces, Sequence 8, and PSY, and continually update both cast and repertoire to keep things fresh. As well as performing by themselves in over 300 cities in over 40 countries, they have also had a hand (geddit?) in producing Broadway shows, namely Pippin and Queen of the Night.
