Mark Morris Dance Group is on tour and hits the Cutler Majestic Theater in Boston, MA, showing from 17 May 2012 to 20 May 2012.
In 1980, Mark Morris formed his own company, the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG). Morris began making dances based on music at a time when choreographers of his generation disdained it. His dancers play the role of the orchestra, mimicking the groupings of voices and instruments - solo for solo, group for group.
