Pinchas Zukerman Performs Mozart

A leading light in the world of classical music, violin virtuoso and conducting maestro Pinchas Zukerman has spent four decades dazzling audiences with his bravura technique and passing the torch to younger generations with educational programs in London, New York, China and beyond. Don't miss his specially curated program of works by Strauss, Bruckner, Mozart and Haydn, as performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra this winter!

As well as leading the ensemble, Zukerman will perform as the soloist during Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3, an early masterpiece written when the composer was just 19.  Arguably the composer's most popular violin concerto, its simple yet satisfying folk-tinged melodies combine with vivid orchestral color and dramatic movements for a glorious musical spectacle unsurpassed by his other violin concertos.

Program

Strauss - Serenade for Winds, Op. 7
Bruckner - Adagio from String Quintet
Mozart - Violin Concerto No. 3 in G, K.216
Haydn - Symphony No. 49, La passione
