SO GOOD!

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were superb. Their experience and talent brought each scene equally to life, no matter how different the scene. SJP is Funny! I could see this all over again with these 2 wonderful actors! The theater itself needs to create new spaces for legs (remove some seats)

WELL DONE

talented people performing a winning Neil Simon play. funny, and very well done. great chemistry between these two. really well worth a ticket to see this. hope they carry it on to Broadway.

DISPPOINTING

Hmmm...5 star reviewers above didn't see the same play I did. Neither star was compelling, but at least SJP knew all of her lines. MB wasn't even up to that, and his delivery was as stilted as a bad high school performance. Nevertheless, the Boston audience gave a standing ovation-but when was the last time a Boston audience didn't?

UNBELIEVABLY NOISY THEATRE

A beautiful theater marred by a high level of distracting noises. Seats in the mezzanine are like sitting inside a restaurant kitchen with the staff at the bar just outside the door talking loudly and clanging glasses , ice, and whatever else while the play runs just inside. And how hard is it for people to remember to turn off their cell phones? My wife and I counted at least five obnoxious rings during the perfomrance. C'mon people!

BORING

Play was boring. Seating at theater is torturous due to poor legroom. Would not recommend despite the great talent.

NOT GREAT, NOT TERRIBLE

The set was one of the most beautiful I've seen and I loved the missing wall effect between sitting room and bedroom. Both stars have entertained us all for many years so seeing them live was a real treat. I must confess I was disappointed with Matthew in these roles. The third piece about the reluctant bride was his best, but overall he seemed out of place and did not seem up to the task. Or perhaps he was diminished in comparison to Sarah-Jessica whose performance was funny, dynamic, entertaining, effusive and just plain fun. She looked like she was having fun herself. She shined. She had movement, expression, body language, comic timing; over the top sometimes, but it's theater and it's Neil Simon. It's supposed to be fun, occasionally stretched to exaggeration. I hope Matthew can improve his performance, but overall I did enjoy it very much.

I SAW THE ORIGINAL PRODUCTION.

Sarah Jessica and Matthew Broderick are working hard in Neil Simon's three act comedy. They seem more at home in the last act which is pure farce but seem out of their element in the more serious first act. This production will have to work harder to match the original where the actors were not known for comedy. The new stars have to take the laughs more seriously.
