Why See PermaDeath: A Video Game Opera?

World premiere

Head to the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre for this exciting world premiere from Cerise Jacobs, Pirate Epstein and Dan Visconti. Centering on a fictional Massively Multiplayer Online Game, PermaDeath explores our connection to gaming and takes us on a wild adventure into a world where the only limit is your imagination.

Inspired by her son Epstein's work as a Video Game Developer and the discovery that 1.2 billion people around the globe enjoy playing games, Jacobs set out to fuse the classical genre with games and see if she could bring a more diverse audience to opera in this world first!
