5.0 star rating Tim Crosby from Johnson City, Tennessee

Hobo Johnson’s performance presented an angst-y preacher/psychologist who delivered auto-fiction slam-punk poetry with a humorous touch of emotional sadness. His frustration and anger at our broken leaks out through Shakespearean lyrics. He was a likable performer, crossing boundaries with rebellion but no physical hostility or violence. The show was dappled in rainbow lights and blasts of confetti, water, and rose petals. I believe Frank Lopes Jr. wants it all, not just a dog, and he speaks for a generation who does too. It’s a typical story of the emotional pain that accompanied both risking for success and settling for safety. Hobo went all in for it. And we are richer for it!!
