Why See WarholCapote?

A World Premiere play!

The collective genius of Andy Warhol and Truman Capote is the basis for this new play from Rob Roth, receiving its world premiere this winter. Icons of art and literature in the 20th century, it is said that in the later 1970's the two decided to lend their talents to a Broadway play. Like many a theatrical venture, it never got off the ground, but their collaboration allegedly left behind hours of illuminating taped conversations between the pair.

After discovering the lost tapes in the late 2000's, Roth decided to adapt their discussions into a play that will cast new light on the legendary auteurs, their own friendship and the world at large, in their own words.

Directed by Michael Mayer, WarholCapote stars Stephen Spinella and Leslie Jordan who will be bringing their talents to this exciting and intimate new show that will likely be a highlight of the season.
