IMPRESSIVE

Ok, so, it wasn’t exactly what I or my girlfriends expected. We often go all in with an expectation that we are going to see what we are used to seeing. If it turns out differently, we tend to get a bit confused. That said, Christine Hurley’s opening was hilariously entertaining teeing up a brilliant balance for what was coming next from the avid golfer. Shortly after Matty took stage, it became clearer that he had a purpose beyond his usual. His classic comedic style was present, but more impressively he unpacked and elevated thoughtful and meaningful his past reflections. I have nothing but respect & appreciation for Matty for being authentically vulnerable with his fans. To confess he didn’t always do a great job at “filtering”, to admit he did not retire from his legendary career the way he would have liked, AND to genuinely convey he issued apologies that were not accepted are all things he has undoubtedly worked hard to accept. It takes a tremendous courage to reflect on the impact we have on others! Sadly, a thing that too many people won’t ever give a crap about. Questions from the audience were of care and concern for how he is doing now & the #1 question...What the heck went down? Reading between the lines, he is in a good place. We’ll never know those details relating to all the parties involved (legal restrictions most likely). Yes, I grew up with Matty in the Morning, a forthright legendary radio personality. This show takes a deeper dive into the comedy and tragedy behind a public persona. Arguably no one can do it like Matty. Wishing him much peace and happiness! ~A Lifelong Fan

GOTTA LOVE MATTY

Was not disappointed! It was a wonderful evening seeing Matty live. He is funny, gracious and exacted what you would expect. I would recommend this show to anyone who has been a Matty fan!

EH

With all the hype for this show, my expectations, unfortunately, were not met. Funny opening act and lots of good energy when Matty appeared on stage. Began by sharing about his childhood and familywgich I Woolf have liked more..transitioned into a lot of the same stories we’ve already heard many times over. The q ad a was funny. He should add more vintage photos, more about his personal life - the good and the bad- and a longer q and A.

MATTY IN THE MORNING

Saw Matty at the Wilbur a week ago. I have been a radio fan for years, however, he I just that, a radio personality. Opening act with Christine Hurley made the night worth it. Matty is great with his cast on morning radio, but definitely not great as live audience entertainer.

ENJOY FLORIDA

No need to come back to Boston...Show wasn't funny. It was a good run with radio but time for Matty to be done!
