ROMEO AND JULIET

SPECTACULAR I have seen many different musical performances in Boston over the years and I cant recall such a brilliant show as Romeo and Juliet. It surpassed every imaginable display of pure raw talent with heart felt romantic beauty. Beyond belief!

SHAKESPEARE ALIVE AND WELL, LIVING IN BOSTON

Cranko's "Romeo and Juliet" is magnificent. I have seen three performances of this ballet, one by the Bolshoi Ballet, one by the New York City Ballet, and yesterday's, performed by the Boston Ballet. By far the Boston Ballet's interpretation outshines the others, which were superb within themselves. As I live in Maine, it is a distance to come to Boston, but I love beautifully performed ballet, Prokofiev's score, and, of course, Will's story. I would see the BB's "Romeo and Juliet" again and again if I lived locally. Boston Ballet is an enormous gift to the art world! Misa Kuranaga is an extraordinary Juliet; the sets are beautiful, sublimely evocative, adding to and arousing profound emotions. This performance is not only a winner; it is the best of the best. Bostonians, rejoice!
