Boston Pops music director Keith Lockhart leads the Boston Pops and a raft of Broadway's finest vocalists in this tribute to the late great Stephen Sondheim and his unparalleled contribution to American musical theatre. From the dark fantasy of Sweeny Todd and Into The Woods to the groundbreaking Follies, Company, and many more, enjoy the genius of the much-missed composer in the glorious surrounds of Tanglewood.
Truly one of America's greatest composers, icon Stephen Sondheim changed the face of musical theatre with his ambitious stagecraft and rhapsodic lyrics. The beloved creator was awarded with an Oscar, eight Tonys (the most a composer has ever been awarded), eight Grammys, a Pulitzer, an Olivier, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his considerable efforts.
