A major new musical!

Why See The Queen of Versailles?

MusicalsStrictly Limited Runs

A tale fit for a Broadway Queen

Broadway royalty Kristin Chenoweth is set to be reunited with Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz for this brand new musical, coming to the Emerson Colonial Theatre this summer! Based on the incredible documentary of the same name, Chenoweth will portray Jacqueline Siegel, wife of businessman David Siegel as the couple set out to build their own version of the titular French palace in Orlando, until the 2008 recession turns their dream into an abandoned nightmare. Michael Arden steps up to direct a book by written by Lindsey Ferrentino, with Schwartz adding his magic to the score.

Joining Chenoweth are F. Murray Abraham as David Siegel, Melody Butiu as Sofia Flores, and Nina White as Victoria Siegel.

What?

In 2008 Jacquline 'Jackie' Siegel, former Miss Florida and mother of eight, and her 'Timeshare King' husband David invited filmmaker Lauren Greenfield to document the process of their new home - a mammoth palace that is set to be the country's biggest private residence, with 14 bedrooms, nine kitchens and three indoor pools. However, when the Great Recession of 2008 comes around, the couple are faced with having to cut back on their habits, putting the immense project on hold. A cautionary tale that gives an unmissable insight in the world of the super-rich - and how they behave when the money runs out - don't miss this exciting new musical adaptation of the story!
