Danny Elfman and Tim Burton's collaborations stretch back over three decades. Despite having a lack of formal training, former rock band singer Elfman was first asked to score one of friend Burton's earliest on-screen ventures, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, way back in 1985. The pair have maintained a close bond ever since, with Elfman's music becoming a crucial part of the spooky atmospheres conjured by the filmmaker.
