WYNTON MARSALIS AND NASEER SHAMIR ARE AN AWESOME TEAM!

This year's Jazz series at the Marcus Center started with a bang! The always impressive Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra collaborated with Nassir Shamma who played the Oud, a middle eastern style mandolin. I expected to hear awesome Jazz, and was not disappointed, but I was equally impressed and pleasantly surprised by the amazing sound of the Oud. I throughly enjoyed it all, but their closing number an arrangement by Wynton Marsalis and Nassir Shamma was my favorite!
