A mediation on his own time as working in the cutthroat world of real estate, Mamet's critically acclaimed play is a highlight of the Umbrella Community Arts Center new theatre season, spicing cold winter nights up with its deft black comedy.
The story follows a group of real estate salesmen selling undesirable parcels of land at grossly inflated prices, who are whipped into a frenzy when they are told one employee will be let go at the end of the week. By hook or by crook, these desperate and devious men show the worst of themselves as the damoclean sword of capitalism hangs over their every move.
