Geller in the flesh?
Having lived in Gloucester since 1977 - I remember him and his station well and enjoyed listening to him for hours. The play truly captures this Gloucester history/treasure. Premier performance and set was perfect. I very highly recommend. Those who did not know of him will possibly doubt this authentic portrayal - but this was perfect and as I remember. (and yes, I feel somewhat guilty for never contributing to him! - which I attribute to the ignorance of my youth.).
My Station in Life, by Ken Riaf, at Gloucester Stage Company
A must-see for theater lovers (on 'til Oct. 28). Excellent play, first-rate production (including the amazing set). Ken Baltin gives a tour-de-force performance. It's about Simon Geller and the Gloucester community, but also so much more-- really universal themes. Lots of humor to leaven the serious drama. You don't have to be from Gloucester to appreciate this show. Well done, Ken(s) & GSC!
