Year Of The Fire Goat

Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart bring you a celebratory concert for the 2027 edition of the annual festival that unites so many different cultures across East and South East Asia. To mark Lunar New Year the orchestra will be joined by the Mongolian folk group Anda Union, for a special performance ushering in the Year of the Fire Goat!

Since 2000 Anda Union has brought the traditional music of Mongolia back to the forefront of culture for generations of Mongolians. With the ten members coming from different ethnic groups within the country, the respective musical traditions they come from has allowed them to combine musical styles and experiences from across the nation’s different cultures. The result is a vessel through which Mongolian music in all of its forms is celebrated, preserved and continued for future generations.
