Conductor Andris Nelsons leads virtuoso pianist Yunchan Lim and the Boston Symphony Orchestra through Schumann's Piano Concerto, as well as a rousing rendition of Tchaikovsky's Manfred! Yunchan Lim's sparkling talent first came to international attention in 2022, and since his breakout the young virtuoso has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras around the world, including the New York Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic and Korea Symphony. Schumann's Piano Concerto is a piece which Lim is intimately familiar with, comprised of three movements; a dramatic and powerful opening theme, a melodically sweet intermezzo and an energetic finale.
