Goodbye to Winter

During the final throes of the cold season, allow Boston Ballet to warm your passions with a phenomenal display of creativity and elegant movement in the wonderful Winter Experience production. The program will play host to three pieces that have shaped the course of contemporary ballet: Crystal Pite's Emergence, Jorma Elo's Brake The Eyes, and William Forsythe's satisfyingly titled Herman Scherman.

Emergence
Set to a score by Owen Belton, Crystal Pite's Emergence is inspired by the patterns of creatures and nature and the order that comes from what looks, at first glance, like chaos. Intricate, energetic and mesmerising, sit back and let this spellbinding 30-minute work show you the brilliance of Pite's vision and the talents of the Corps De Ballet.

Brake The Eyes
Extroverted and thrilling, this work from Boston Ballet's Resident Choreographer Jorma Elo sees the dancers spring through different soundscapes, displaying the company's athleticism through Elo's electrifying choreography in a frenetic and unmissable performance.

Herman Scherman
A surprising and highly intricate work, Forsythe's trademark approach is on full show in this fantastic contemporary masterpiece from the storied choreographer.
