Why see Fontaines DC?
Romance Tour
Irish post-punk five-piece Fontaines D.C. are back on the road this fall, following the summer release of their fourth studio album Romance! The Grammy-nominated band from Dublin kick off their trek in Seattle on September 20, concluding their huge trek a month later in Philadelphia.
Forming in 2017 after meeting at music college, Fontaines D.C. quickly became the darlings of BBC Radio 6 and the blogosphere for their raw post-punk sound, with lyrics often documenting the Irish working class experience and delivered in a thick Dublin accent. Signing to Partisan Records barely a year after forming, they're now almost four records in and have awards under their belt including a Brit Award, AIM Award, NME Award and a nomination at the Grammys. They've become one of Ireland's biggest recent musical exports and there's no doubt why.
