Honoring the American composer's 80th Birthday, the BSO delve into the 4 stages of the Pulitzer Prize winner's Symphony No.2 - Dawn, Daylight, Dusk and Darkness.
Mozart - Piano Concerto 24 in C
Widely considered Mozart's greatest Piano Concerto, this inimitable work was written in tandem with The Marriage of Figaro with it's dark themes thought to be an outlet from the comedic music of the former.
Vaughn Williams - Symphony No.5
A return to romance following the frenetic nature of his Symphony No.4, this hopeful work utilises the strings to beautiful and moving effect.
