Spend an evening in the company of the world's most pre-eminent instrumentalists as they perform a special programme of Mozart, Widmann and Strauss, helmed by resident music director Andris Nelsons. The world renowned conductor will oversee the astonishing world premiere of a brand new work by German composer Jorg Widmann.
Rounding off the programme will be child-prodigy turned adult cello virtuoso Yo-Yo Ma, a much loved and respected figure in the modern classical scene. The legendary performer will be joined by the BSO's very own principal violinist Steven Ansell for a rousing rendition of Richard Strauss' colorful tone poem Don Quixote.
