Inspired by the work of prolific composer TJ Anderson, this exciting new musical from university students Harrison Clark and Ben Mizrach seeks to answer important questions facing black artists today as they set out to connect with cultural identity through their music and artistry.
Through a high-energy fusion of genres including jazz, folk, hip-hop, and R&B, key questions are explored: What is Black art, and how is it defined? Who can create Black art? And do artists who identify as Black in this country have an obligation to create what we've come to call Black Art?
