Message In A Bottle

My husband and I saw Message In A Bottle in Boston last night. It was a breathtaking dance performance telling a heart breaking story. At times the dancers seemed to defy gravity while sailing across the stage to the perfect collection of Sting's songs. It brought tears to my eyes twice. Once in the first act and once in the second. Absolutely beautiful

First I was awed by the dancers’ energy and expression. The story was conveyed in such a way that it was not completely literal but very poignant nonetheless. I loved the minimal staging. The way the dancers interacted was very moving and I loved seeing the joy and abandonment with which they performed. The only downside was the volume of the music. It didn’t need to be quite so loud.
