Why see HPT 176: 101 Damnations?

A Devilish New Comedy!

Welcome to Hell. Unlike you, who deserves to be here, goody-two-shoes CLAIRE ICKLE-EROR has been condemned due to what she believes was a typo. Out of the frying pan and into the fire, she falls into the clutches of Hell's stylish CEO, LUCY FUR. With help from her tedious, geeky accountant WOODY SHUTUPFORONCE, Lucy is masterminding a devious plot to expand Hell and pull one over on those nerds up in Heaven. Hot on her tail is undercover agent ANNE GELIC, the purest of Heaven's angels, sent to recover the wrongfully damned Claire. Eager to escape this nondenominational underworld, Claire joins forces with an eclectic bunch of vagabonds and miscreants to get the heck out of Dodge.

Order up: Can ex-Mafioso AL DENTE whip up the dish of his dreams and keep Hell's only diner from being razed to the ground? Can ancient Roman senator NOAH VALE finally escape Hell after thousands of failed attempts? Will tortured glam-rockstar ROXANNE ROLLS return to the limelight? Or will her possessive ex-boyfriend, the prince of tango, DAN SAWIDDADEVIL, keep her from stardom? Can tender Viking JRGEN ALOVEMEONEDAY win the heart of his idol? And will the fratty D1 rower recruited to row the Styx, ROWAN D'BOAT, finally realize he is actually in Hell and not in college? Surrounded by Hell's finest degenerates, Claire must figure out what it truly means to be good... and why God won't answer her calls. Get a break from the Hell that is life with a trip down south come on down to Farkas Hall this spring for the Hasty Pudding Theatrical's 176th musical comedy spectacular: 101 DAMNATIONS.

A Must See!

Every year, Hasty Pudding Theatricals puts on the most spectacular musicals. Last year's Heist, Heist Baby blew me away. The costumes, the sets, the singing, the dancing, and above all, the passion each and every student poured into its production. It's a labor of love and I implore anyone in the Boston area this winter to come and see it in all its glory. ... Read more

Incredibly Strong Cast

When i see a non-professional show I usually brace myself--you never know, right? Well my husband and I (both seasoned theater go-ers) were blown away. 10 cast members, each of them a total gem, magical, talented beyond belief. The show is original, moves at a perfect clip, and assumes the audience is intelligent. SO REFRESHING. There were so many fun and funny things to catch that we had to go back for the matinee the next day to see it again. It just felt so good to be entertained from beginning to end. It's a high-energy, good-energy cast and you leave with a contact high. Loved the story, loved the music, loved it all. Highly recommend. ... Read more
