Ben Folds Five have been writing songs for over fifteen years, creating a unique blend of jazz influenced singer-songwriter and pop-rock styles. Their first album as a trio, Ben Folds Five (self-titled) was released in 1995 and followed by a further three albums in the 90s. Their fourth and latest studio album comes after over ten-years of 'album silence' from the band. Entitled 'The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind', it is due for release in September this year and comes after a twelve-year touring and recording hiatus .
