Cheers Live on Stage's remaining Tour dates Have Been Cancelled

Remember that bar where everybody knew your name? Well 23 years after the hit TV show left our screens, the famous Boston bar is about to make a comeback - on stage! Following the success of comedy adaptations such as I Love Lucy, this is a fantastic way for fans and newcomers alike to experience the quick-fire wit and situational comedy of the original show, without resorting to tv reruns!

What to expect

This joint production between Stageworks Media and Troika Entertainment, and licensed by original broadcaster CBS, takes place in two acts, and features favorite characters from the show! Although it is highly unlikely to star any of the original cast due to the large time lapse, you can expect to see Carla. Coach, Cliff, Norm, Sam and Diane as they all meet for the very first time! You'll be treated to the show's very first kiss, as well as the group's first fisticuffs - we wonder who will be involved in what scenario....!

Cheers, which ran for a huge eleven seasons betweeen 1982 through 1993, is currently ranked as one of TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. With top ratings for seven of its seasons, it received a phenomenal 26 Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes during its 11-year tenure on CBS.
