Tennessee Williams' last major play is revived by Boston's A.R.T., with acting legend James Earl Jones headlining the cast. First seen on Broadway in 1961, The Night of the Iguana, which was turned into Oscar-winning John Huston film in 1964, is set in a retreat on the sweltering Mexican coast. Among the hotel's guests are a disgraced Southern preacher, kicked out of his church following revelations about his taste in young girls, and a poor Nantucket spinster, who travels the world accompanied by her grandfather. With these players Williams' weaves a charcterisically intense tale of loneliness and the violent emotions just bubbling under the surface.

Last seen on Broadway briefly in God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, James Earl Jones has a long and storied stage career, having won two Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor for his turns in The Great White Hope and Fences. On the silver screen, he's featured in The Hunt for Red October, Sneakers, and of course, provided the deep and terrifying tones of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy.
