May 30 - June 3, 2018

A show like no other, Cold Blood is a profound exploration of life's riches starring human hands. From the makers of the equally startling Kiss and Cry, which bowled Boston audiences over in 2013, Cold Blood takes place inside a world of miniature sets, populated by hands, which take on the role of humans by walking upright on two fingers.

The Boston Lyric Opera presents Benjamin Britten's powerful mediation on the corruption of innocence as part of their brand new 2018/19 season. A pioneering production of Britten's Chamber Opera style, the stripped-down work may be performed by just eight singers and thirteen musicians but it remains a richly expressive, emotionally intense and dramatically gripping production that will provoke thoughts and stir souls.
