Cutler Majestic Theatre
219 Tremont St, Boston, MA 2116
Opening in February 1903 with its first-ever production being The Storks, the Majestic was designed by Beaux Arts School graduate John Galen in a stunning combination of French Rococo and Old Yankee style. With a huge emphasis on using the newly invented electric lightbulb to uplight its beautiful windows, this theater remains one of the most aesthetically pleasing in the country. With a seating capacity of 1,200, this historical landmark still plays host today to the biggest shows in Boston, as well as major touring Broadway productions.
