This beautiful opera house started life in 1928 as the B.F. Keith Memorial Theatre where it played movies and was also one of the best examples of a vaudeville palace on the circuit. From 1929 it operated solely as a movie palace until 1980, when it was acquired as a home for the Opera Company of Boston. <b>It was renamed Citizens Bank Opera House in 2019, where it hosts major Broadway tours like Dear Evan Hansen, Les Miserables, The Band's Visit, and much more.</b>
